Understand Costs?

There is no cost to the individual reporting the government or corporate abuse. All fees are contingency based. The lawyer will typically be compensated from the judge over and above the settlement amount. Ie - the judge will typically have the defendant pay the attorney's hourly rate times the number of hours he took preparing the case, and have the defendant pay that amount. This is generally over and above the 15 to 30% amount that the judge determines you will receive for your role in bringing the crime to light.

We will aim to seek out high qualities lawyers who do not take part of the settlement. If there are fees that extend beyond those covered by our contingent service providers, that amount will be taken from the settlement fees, which we will aim to minimize wherever possible.

If the trial is heard and our side wins, judges are expected to pay in accordance with the False Claims Act, 15% to 30% of the money saved by the government to the individuals reporting the violation.  This amount is not limited to just the money saved in the year it is reported, but may include future years where this money is saved. OffRecord would assist the lawyers in bringing the case to closure along the way - while also keeping you informed as your trusted partner throughout the procress.

Once settled, OffRecord would divide with you equally the settlement fees and will work to find a confidential manner in which to pay you at that time.

Example Case

On a case that judge felt would save the government $20M over the next four years, he may choose to reward the individuals reporting the violation between $3M to $6M  (15% to 30%) in settlement, which at the end of the process would be divided equally between you and OffRecord.

We will be your partner in ensuring the case is run as efficiently and effectively as possible to bring this case to closure successfully, while doing so as safely as possible for you and your family. It is our intent to have you capture every penny of the reward you have earned, and to do so as expeditiously as is possible.
