Absolutely. Some whistleblowers choose to form a group of individuals in which to present their case together. This is allowable in accordanace with the False Claims Act and the group should determine how they plan to divide the reward if it is not equally, should one be earned, ahead of time. It is important the rewards and nature of your agreements are well spelled out and drafted into the legal agreement with OffRecord before we begin our work with you. Over time, individuals move on, leave organizations and the nature of relationships can change. Despite those things OffRecord wants to ensure we have a well documented plan to account for those changes before we begin the road of working together to present this case to the Department of Justice. It is important however, that the group commit together regarding how they want to ensure that they work to protect the integrity of their identies and the case. OffRecord can serve as a thorough coach, however, it is up to each of the individuals to be conscious of their actions and communications in order to maintain the confidentiality. Obviously the more people who are involved, the more challenging this can be; however, having more people involved may have some positive value in supporting the claim and gathering high quality evidence necessary to achieve the right outcome. OffRecord is open to serving as the confidential lead on a group case assignment as well.
